Family Roots (Arraigo)
Family roots (arraigo) is a temporary residence authorisation for exceptional circumstances that may be granted to foreign citizens who are in Spain in an irregular administrative situation. It is granted to those who are a parent, legal guardian, or tutor of a minor national of another State of the European Union (or the European Economic Area or Switzerland), or to those who provide support and live with a family member of these nationalities who has a disability.
Unlike other pathways, this figure allows you to regularise your administrative situation directly, as it does not require you to have stayed in the country for a minimum period of time beforehand.
Requirements
🌎 Not being a citizen of the European Union, EEA (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) or Switzerland, or a family member of citizens of these countries to whom the EU citizen regime applies.
