European Union Citizen Registration Certificate (CUE)
Citizens of a Member State of the European Union, another contracting State to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, or Switzerland who are going to reside in Spain for a period exceeding three months are obliged to apply for their registration in the Central Registry of Foreigners.
The document issued to them, the CUE, is commonly known as the "green NIE".
