Second Chance Roots (Arraigo)
The second chance roots (arraigo) is a temporary residence authorisation due to exceptional circumstances that can be granted to foreign citizens who are in Spain in an irregular administrative situation. It is granted to those individuals who were previously holders of a residence authorisation that they could not renew, or who have legally worked in the country for a minimum of six months.
This route allows you to regularise your administrative situation if you have remained in the country continuously for a minimum period of two years.
