A Turning Point: Traam Is Now an ENISA-Certified Startup

There are days on the calendar of any company that mark a turning point. Thursday, 16 July was one of those days for us. We are proud to announce that Traam has officially obtained Startup Certification from ENISA.

This recognition is not just a piece of paper or a stamp on our website; it is the official validation of our business model, our innovation and, above all, the tireless effort of the entire team. It is, literally, a before and after in our history.

🔍 What Does This Certification Actually Imply?

To provide some context, at the end of 2022, Spain approved what is known as the "Startups Act" (Act 28/2022). Its objective is to boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem and position Spain as a benchmark in innovation.

To benefit from this law, a company must be exhaustively evaluated by ENISA (National Innovation Company). They audit that you are indeed an innovative company, with a scalable business model, a technological base and high growth potential. Passing this filter means that the State officially recognises that Traam has the engine, structural framework and vision to transform the market.

✅ The Benefits of Being a "Startup"

Achieving this status allows us to access a very favourable regulatory framework that will accelerate our growth. These are the key benefits that the law grants to certified companies:

• Reduction in corporate tax: The corporate tax rate is reduced to 15% for startups.

• Tax deferral: The possibility of requesting deferrals on the payment of tax debts is granted.

• Access to international investors: Foreign investors do not need to obtain a NIE to make investments in the startup.

• Pluriactivity allowance: Social Security contributions are subsidised, for a period of three years, for self-employed entrepreneurs who also work as employees.

• Incentives through stock options: Tax benefits derived from the delivery of stock options to employees are extended up to a maximum amount of 50,000 euros per year.

• Investment deduction: Investors can deduct 50% of their investment in newly created companies, up to a maximum limit of 100,000 euros.

• Ease in collecting grants: Greater facilities are provided for supplying guarantees or receiving payments on account in the awarding of grants.

• Exemption from payments on account: Companies are exempt from making instalment payments of Corporate Tax.

However, this milestone also serves as a springboard to expand our brand and scale our business model.
